Abstract:
Ghani Khan is the most prominent and well known poet of Pashto language. He is also called a modern Pashtoon poet. Freedom of thoughts and ideological rebellion are the characteristics of his poetry. These are the characteristics which give him fame and by these characteristics he is differentiated from all the modern romantic poets. His deep thoughts and modern style has awarded him with unique position in modern Pashto poetry. His form structure and subjects are the same. His emotions, sincerity, love and feelings are the products of his own experiments and observations. He is also known as rebellion against the existing traditions and rituals. In this paper different angles of Ghani Khan’s poetry have been evaluated.
