Abstract = {This paper highlights the oprations and functions of Non-Governmental Organizations, which act as social workers to their societies, in return they get charities for their services. NGOs play a major role in the development of society. Save the Children, is one of the leading NGOs in Pakistan. According to international standards it is ranked among the best in South Asian region. This report explains how different functions of SCs work and what are their services. The article was conducted in the year 2007 in Hazara division, relies mainly on secondary data with the help of primary data sometimes,when the former would be unclear or difficult to comprehend. The article is mostly objective in nature with hints of subjectivity in financial analysis. The basic objective of conducting such research was to find out and highlight the work done by the NGO in the area, which consist of the three parts. The first part of the paper is about the evolution of SCS, where as the second part is about the function and
services of SCS and the third part is the financial analysis and
recommendations are given. During the critical analysis, it was observed that SCS is one of the leading NGO, a network of around 29 national branches and 118 international branches all over the world.},
