Abstract:
This paper discusses the importance of the mother tongue which is the source of not only all literary works but also the origin of an individuals identity. The mother tongue reflects the pride of nations who are proud of their cultural heritage. The researcher looks to the government to help in the promotion, prosperity and development of Pashto because he feels that without their help and support this language will fail to progress.
