Abstract:
In this article not only Henry Vansittart is introduced for the first time as an orientalist who worked for Pashto language and history in 1784 A.D, but also a valuable history of the Pashtoons in the shape of Israr-ul- Afaghana written in the early stage of 1580 A.D is introduced. The shape of the old Pashto script of 1784 A.D along with the translation of Henry Vansittart is also given in the article for the interest of those readers and writers who have some relation to Pashto language and history.
