Abstract:
Classical manuscripts of any language play a very vital role in the development of its grammar, dictionaries and history. Many "Makhtootat" i.e. manuscripts of Pashto are scattered around all over the world. Discovering them from different libraries helps in developing catalogues, lexicography and historiography. The present paper is based on the discovery of 13 such manuscripts which were preserved in Dyal Singh Trust Library in Lahore. The researcher has given notes and annotations to them and described their salient features. This paper may interest the linguists, lexicographers and the researchers of classical Pashto literature.
