Second Order Predicate Logic for Pashto Knowledge Representation\protect \RL (bibtex)
by Rahman Ali and Muhammad Abid Khan
Abstract:
Knowledge representation is one of the most important steps in developing knowledge-based systems for Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications. The performance of NLP applications depends upon the representation of the source text in an efficient way in the computer memory. This research paper is about the representation of Pashto text in second order predicate logic form. The paper is focused on the development of an algorithm and a rule-base that contains eight (08) syntactic rules for the transformation of tagged and parsed Pashto text into its corresponding predicate argument form. The algorithm is texted on real world text, taken from different genres. The accuracy of the proposed algorithm is 59.8%.
