Abstract:
This short article introduces a very rare Pashto book "Dard" (The Pain), for the first time. It is a two-act Pastho play (drama) written by Amir Nawaz Khan Jalya and published in Nineteen hundred thirty two. But it was immediately banned by the then British government and all copies were confiscated. A rare copy is kept in the research section of the British Library from which it has been copied by the researchers and given an introduction to the book. It is worth noting that writers on Pashto Drama have mentioned the plays name but nobody has until now, given details. This short article is based on original research conducted by the writer.
