Abstract:
The researcher traces the definition and historical background of the concept of aesthetics in the literary and philosophic world from the time of Socrates and Plato who gave very detailed accounts of this literary theory. They have been briefly summarized by the researcher. In Pashto poetry the concept of aesthetics has been represented by the verses of Khushal Khan Khattak, Rahman Baba, Hamzah Shinwari and Abdul Ghani Khan Modern and nationalistic poets like Qalandar Mohmand have also continued with this trend.
