Abstract:
It is the world known tale of the world classic. First time, it was written in Persian language and onward, it was spread all over the world. The narration of the tale was taken from Khamsa-e-Nazami Gunjavi. It is translated in different languages of the world. In Pakistani languages the above mentioned tale is especially found in Pashto, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, saraiki and Urdu. Ten different versions of the tale by different translators / compilers are present in Pashto literature. The present article deals with the sources of the tale narrated in Urdu and Pakistani Languages. The researcher explored the different horizons and identified different versions of the tale for incoming researcher.
