Abstract:
People like Saadat Hassan Manto, who have touched the social taboos in their literature are always misunderstood and criticized deeply. Manto was declared as vulgar in his fiction but the modern extended paradigms of criticism have proved it otherwise. The following research is one of such attempts. We see that his fiction is not vulgar. He seems to find the womanhood in a prostitute. His character portrayal is more psychological than physical.
