Abstract = {Ashraf Maftoon contributed to a new trend, style and consciousness to art, leaving a long standing mark on the Modern Pashto poetry. As a romantic poet, his diction and style is unique and exclusive. His concept of love and revolt is emotional. He has given an individual touch to Modern Pashto romantic Poetry and introduced a new color or style. ‌Before him no poet has given such a touch to Pashto romantic poetry. He has co-existed the beauty of art in his philosophical and romantic thoughts, showing his spontaneous flow of thoughts, his frankness and his revolt. Romance, truth, love, aesthetics, melody, revolt and music are the features of his poetry. In this paper the romantic poetry of Ashraf Maftoon has been highlighted.},
